Combs Valley Campsite

A hillside High Peak campsite with proper valley views, two pubs on foot, and a train station within walking distance.

Combs Valley sits on a sunny south-facing slope above the Peak District village of Combs, with pitches looking out across open moorland and valley farmland. The views are the main event, and pitches C1-C5 and C20 get the best of them. The site accepts tents, caravans, and motorhomes alongside three glamping pods, with a clean shower and toilet block serving the whole site.

The surrounding area is well-connected on foot: the Beehive and Hanging Gate pubs are both within a ten-minute walk, and a 20-minute footpath leads directly to Chapel-en-le-Frith train station, which makes car-free arrivals genuinely feasible. Buxton is five miles out, and the broader Peak District network puts Castleton, Lyme Park, and Chatsworth within easy day-trip range. Walking and cycling routes start from the site itself.

Owners are on hand and clearly attentive to the place. The facilities block is kept clean and the pitches are well-spaced. Three glamping pods are available for those who'd rather not bring a roof.
