Chinley Camping

Chinley Camping sits on a working smallholding at the edge of Chinley village, pitched just inside the High Peak with open views across the national park. The sauna is the headline addition. Wood-fired, on site, and exactly what you want after a day on the moors or a long ride on the trails. Reviews come back to it repeatedly. No hardstanding, no electric hookups, and no caravans: this is a grass-pitch, tent-and-small-campervan operation.

Walking access is direct from the site. The Peak Forest Tramway Trail and the Peak District Boundary Walk are both reachable on foot, and Chinley village is close enough for supplies or a local pub. On clear nights the skies here are dark enough to be worth staying up for. Starting from £7 per night, it earns a reputation for value that the quality of the experience justifies.
