Parke Farm Camping

A family-run Pembrokeshire farm within the National Park, where the Coast Path starts at the gate and the owners bring round marshmallows in the evening.

Parke Farm sits inside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, on the south-western corner of Wales where the coastline is at its most dramatic. The farm occupies 10 acres near Merrion, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path runs from the doorstep. Broadhaven South is 3.8 miles away, Barafundle Bay 4 miles, and Freshwater West 5 miles: three of the finest beaches in Wales, all within striking distance for a day's exploration.

Thirty grass pitches are divided by long grass that gives each one a degree of privacy and keeps the site from feeling like a car park. Electric hookup is available across all pitches, and the facilities block is clean and well-maintained by accounts from multiple visits. The owners are hands-on in the warmest way: free tea and coffee in the mornings and marshmallows brought round in the evenings are small gestures that reviewers consistently mention. A Saturday pizza is a regular fixture in season.

Beyond the beaches, the area around Bosherston and the lily pond walk, St Govan's Chapel, Pembroke Castle, and the wider sweep of the coastal path make this a genuine base for a week rather than a weekend. The site welcomes dogs throughout, and at the prices asked this remains one of the more honest-value pitches on the Pembrokeshire coast.

Before you book

  • The Castlemartin MOD firing range is nearby: live-fire exercises can start early in the morning and occasionally close access roads to some coastal spots.
Parke Farm earns its reputation through attentive owner-hosts and a location that puts you inside the National Park with three outstanding beaches inside a 5-mile radius. The pitches, the price, and the people make it hard to argue with.
