Hideaway Escapes
A working Pembrokeshire farm with 13 pitches, a cast of alpacas and emus, and glamping that earns its keep through genuine owner care.
Hideaway Escapes sits on a family-run farm outside Narberth, in the Pembrokeshire countryside, with 13 grass pitches and a small collection of glamping units: a yurt with log burner and kitchenette, a geodesic dome, a cabin tent, and a retro caravan. The farm animals are the headline act. Guinea pigs, donkeys, alpacas, emus, goats, rabbits - guests can wander round and the dogs can come too.
The yurts are properly equipped with hob, fridge, ample cookware, and welcome packs of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Compost toilets sit beside the units; the shared facilities block is kept clean with hot showers. The honesty shop at reception stocks provisions at fair prices and a few handmade things worth taking home: wool blankets, cactus candles. Owners are responsive and clearly invested in the experience.
Skomer Island, where puffins nest, is under an hour's drive away and worth planning around. Narberth town is close for supplies. The site's Pembrokeshire Coast National Park location means walking, coast paths, and beaches are all accessible without the campsite sitting on top of them.
“A small, warm, animal-led farm campsite that works equally well for families chasing donkey encounters and couples looking for a cosy yurt with a log fire.”
