Beavers Retreat Glamping
Ten solar-powered geodomes with private hot tubs in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, sitting 1.5 miles from Manorbier Beach.
Beavers Retreat keeps things small on purpose: ten geodesic domes on a quiet field inside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, each with its own hot tub and private coded toilet. The domes run on solar and draw water from a natural spring, so the eco credentials are structural rather than decorative. Tom, the site manager named in multiple guest accounts, is present and reachable without being intrusive.
Manorbier Beach is 1.5 miles away (a five-minute drive or a brisk 20-minute walk), and Barafundle Bay is eight miles further down the coast. Tenby is five miles west if you want a proper town with shops, restaurants, and the harbour. Jameston village is half a mile on foot. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through this corner of Wales, making it a legitimate base for day walks with a hot tub to return to.
Inside the domes: gas hob and oven in a covered outdoor kitchen, log-burning stove with three bags of logs included, crockery and cutlery supplied, shared showers (three between ten domes), and a shared freezer where ice packs keep until morning. There is no fridge in the dome and no mains electricity at the pitch. Charging lockers near the car park are the workaround for phones. The site operates a quiet-hours policy from 10pm to 7:30am. XL domes sleep families of four with room to move.
Before you book
- No fridge in the domes; a shared freezer is provided for ice packs and perishables.
- A slow-moving train line runs alongside the field with infrequent services between 7am and 10:30pm.
- Quiet hours from 10pm to 7:30am are enforced; this is not the place for late-night groups.
“A well-run, genuinely eco glamping site in a national park setting, with the Pembrokeshire coast on your doorstep and a hot tub to end the day in.”
