Happy Valley Norfolk

A nine-acre woodland valley in North West Norfolk with dark skies certification, individual hot tubs, and the kind of owner care that makes guests book again before they leave.

Happy Valley sits in a private valley on the edge of a Norfolk Wildlife Trust site, nine acres of fir woodland, open glades, and a lake with a bridged island. The accommodation runs from treehouses to lodges, each built by the owners and furnished with enough care that guests notice the kitchen equipment. Hot tubs are sunken into the decks so you can soak with the canopy overhead.

The dark skies certification is real here. North West Norfolk is flat, agricultural, and mostly unlit after dark, which means the Milky Way on a clear night is the kind of thing that makes guests write about it. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve next door means the woodland isn't hemmed in by roads or development on the eastern edge.

Sandringham Estate is a short drive, Houghton Hall is nearby, and the North Norfolk Coast is about twenty minutes by car. King's Lynn train station is fifteen minutes, making this accessible without flying in by helicopter. Katy and the team run the site with genuine warmth and the communication throughout is consistently flagged by returning guests.

Happy Valley also hosts weddings in its two barns, which means availability is tighter on peak summer weekends. Toad Hall has been built with low thresholds, a wide shower, and a sunken hot tub deck, making it one of the more genuinely accessible glamping units we know of in East Anglia. Season runs April to November.

Before you book

  • Wedding events use the barns on peak summer weekends, so check availability early for July and August.
  • The site is harder to find after dark; follow the directions provided at booking rather than relying solely on sat-nav.
A beautifully maintained woodland glamping venue where the owners have built each unit with real attention and the dark skies and wildlife-trust adjacency give it a setting most glamping sites don't come close to.
