Choo Choo Moo

Two converted railway carriages in the Waveney Valley, where Holly and Richard have thought of everything, including a private outdoor bath overlooking the fields.

Choo Choo Moo sits in Alburgh, a quiet country village in the Waveney Valley, with the carriages positioned to command views across the valley. The Angles Way walking trail runs from the site, and Grain Brewery is a brief walk away. Flint Vineyard is close enough to reach on the bikes provided. The Suffolk Coast, Southwold, Walberswick, Covehithe, is around 40 minutes by car; the Norfolk Broads are a short drive in the other direction.

Holly and Richard have converted the carriages with real care. Each has a fireplace that makes cold nights properly cosy, a fully equipped kitchen, dressing gowns, and a welcome hamper with local produce. The shower is full-pressure and comes with proper-sized bottles. The decking has a swinging bench for morning coffee with the valley in front of you. The standout feature is the private outdoor bath, set in its own field away from the carriage, no one in sight for miles, and views to match.

This is a couples place through and through: the outdoor bath was clearly designed with a long evening in mind, the pitches are private, and the owners greet you on arrival and then leave you to it. They are on hand if you need anything but won't disturb your stay. Four bikes are available for guests, which means the vineyard, the village, and the walking trails are all accessible without the car.
