Dreamy Hollow Woodland Campsite & WW1 Trenches

Seven and a half acres of private oak woodland where every pitch has its own fire pit, its own name, and a corner of the canopy to itself.

Dreamy Hollow earns its repeat visits through something deceptively simple: every one of its 30 pitches is individually designed, individually named, and screened from its neighbours by mature oaks. You can camp alongside a full site and feel like you have the forest to yourselves. The morning bird chorus is the alarm clock, and most pitches have somewhere to sling a hammock.

The WW1 trenches on site are a genuine surprise. Interpreted with information boards and walkable, they give the trip an unexpected layer of history without the campsite leaning into it too heavily. It's a thing you discover, not a thing you're sold.

Facilities are straightforward: clean toilets and showers, fire pit on each pitch, a new automatic gate. No shop, no bar, no organised events. The site works because the woodland does the heavy lifting. Two pitches accept campervans; the rest are tent-only.
