Comrie Croft
A 231-acre Perthshire working farm that earns its reputation through genuine environmental craft, a wood-fired sauna, and direct access to the Loch Lomond & Trossachs trail network.
Comrie Croft sits on 231 acres of Perthshire farmland at the edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, three miles from the village of Comrie and four and a half from Crieff. The land runs from open flower meadows up into ancient woodland, and the camping areas are distributed across it in a way that gives each section its own character rather than arranging everyone in rows.
The pitch mix is honest about what the place is: tent camping in the Woodlands area (open year-round, with a heated shower and toilet block), Nordic Kata glamping units, and a cabin built largely from local materials by local makers. The on-site sauna is properly good, the café is open most days (closed Mondays), the shop stocks what you need, and the bike shop team will walk you through the trail network before you head out. Fires are allowed, which matters in Scotland.
The market garden and the farm's environmental stewardship are woven into the operation rather than bolted on as branding. Weddings and groups book whole sections; solo campers and couples use the same infrastructure and feel met rather than managed. This is a place people return to.
Before you book
- Campervan and tent pitches are first-come, first-served with no option to pre-book a specific spot, so groups wanting adjacent pitches should arrive together.
- The on-site café is closed on Mondays.
“One of Scotland's most considered working-farm destinations: proper camping alongside well-designed glamping, a spectacular sauna, and the Trossachs on the doorstep.”
