Bolmynydd Camping Park

Family-run site on the Llŷn Peninsula where two beaches, mountain views, and obsessively clean facilities make the walk down the quiet lane worth repeating.

Bolmynydd sits on elevated ground above Llanbedrog, which means the rewards come quickly: views across to Snowdonia on clear days and two beaches within 15 minutes on foot down quiet lanes. The Llŷn Peninsula does a good job of feeling genuinely remote while keeping Abersoch (five minutes by car) and a village pub, Spar and chemist within easy walking distance of the site.

Ruth and Rhodri run the place, and their presence shows. The shower block has underfloor heating, runs spotlessly clean at all hours, and even has a coffee machine. Pitches are large with room between them, and the open field in the middle means the site doesn't feel cramped even when busy. There's a football pitch with proper goals for the kids and a dedicated dog-walking area.

This is a site that earns loyalty: several reviewers mention returning three or more times, some holding seasonal pitches for years. What keeps them coming back is a mix of setting, consistency and owner care that most coastal sites don't manage to hold together.

One of the more reliably well-kept coastal sites on the peninsula, with owners who genuinely look after the place and a location that delivers on mountain-and-sea views without the holiday-park price or feel.
