Fferm Crugan

A working Llyn Peninsula farm five minutes from a National Trust beach, with hardstanding pitches, glamping cabins, and a farm shop stocked with fresh sourdough.

Fferm Crugan sits on the Llyn Peninsula in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the location does the heavy lifting. A field path from the farm leads directly to the Llanbedrog National Trust beach, complete with its famous row of colourful beach huts, in under five minutes on foot. The coastal path opposite the entrance opens up views across the bay to Harlech and Barmouth.

The farm takes touring caravans and motorhomes on hardstanding pitches with electric hookup and water, with a small number of touring spaces available alongside seasonal residents. For those not bringing wheels, glamping cabins and bell tents are on offer, and converted stone cottages provide a more sheltered option. Owners are hands-on and welcoming: guests arrive to find a welcome gift waiting, and the on-site farm shop sells freshly baked sourdough.

Llanbedrog village is five minutes' walk: two pubs (the Glyn y Weddw Arms and The Ship), a beach bistro, and an art gallery are all within easy reach. Abersoch, the peninsula's busiest resort, is three miles away. It is a working farm, so expect the sound of cattle and the associated smells, which is precisely the point.

Before you book

  • Touring pitches are limited in number, with most taken by seasonal visitors, book early to secure a space.
  • Electric top-up operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system; ensure you can reach the farm team on arrival to manage this.
An honest working-farm base on one of Wales's finest peninsulas, where the beach is a field-path away and the village is around the corner.
