Pepperscombe Cottages & Glamping

Working farm glamping on the South Downs edge, with trails out the door and Steyning fifteen minutes on foot.

Pepperscombe Farm sits on the outskirts of Steyning with footpaths, bridleways and mountain biking trails running directly from the property into the South Downs National Park. You can be on the hills within minutes of unzipping your door. That access is the site's calling card: countryside glamping that doesn't require a car to reach the countryside.

The accommodation runs to shepherd's huts, yurts, a horsebox and cottages, each equipped with cooking essentials and outdoor seating. The Orchid Yurt has its own wood-fired hot tub and a wood-burning stove for evenings, plus views of the Downs that reward lingering. Guests consistently note how spacious and well-kept the units are, with a shower that opens onto the fields and enough outdoor space to feel genuinely unhurried.

Andy and the family run the place with the right balance: present when needed, invisible when not. The farm setting brings wildlife to the doorstep (owls call at night), and there's a rope swing for younger visitors. Steyning's pubs and restaurants are a fifteen-minute walk, and the Sussex coast at Shoreham, Lancing and Worthing is twenty minutes by car.

Farm glamping with real trail access and a host who gets it right: everything you need, nothing to get in the way.
