Rankins Farm sits in Linton on the Greensand escarpment, a working farm in the Kent Downs AONB that Tony and Sarah converted to glamping in 2017. Six pods spread across the site give each group its own fire pit, and the surrounding orchards keep the view soft and genuinely agricultural rather than theme-park pastoral.

The fit-out here is thorough rather than flashy. Each pod comes stocked with everything from a hairdryer to a marshmallow-toasting fork and a breakfast hamper, so you genuinely arrive and switch off. The shared pizza oven (named The Beast) is a centrepiece for group evenings, and the play area and selection of lawn games make multi-generational bookings easy. Groups of up to 20-odd have used all six pods together and the site handles it well.

Adults-only pairs will find it equally comfortable for a quiet Kent countryside weekend. The Greensand Way passes nearby for walkers. Maidstone is the nearest town, and the site is positioned within easy reach of the Kentish Weald's vineyards and farm shops.
