Lee Meadow Farm Camping

A proper 27-acre North Devon farm on the doorstep of Woolacombe Bay, with sea views across the Bristol Channel and more to do on-site than most families will get through.

Lee Meadow sits just above Woolacombe Bay on 27 acres of working North Devon farmland, its upper fields delivering clear sea views across the Bristol Channel towards Wales. The beach itself is a short walk from the gate, and a woodland footpath threads down from the site to a quiet sandy cove most guests never find. That combination of farmland setting and coastal access is the reason to come.

The farm shop is a genuine asset: local produce, fresh pastries, hot food and good coffee all day, plus a freezer you can raid without guilt. Add in e-bike hire, a zip wire, a pump track, fire pit rentals and a newly opened spa area with hot tub, sauna and massages, and the site has enough on-site life to carry a rainy afternoon without anyone getting restless. The South West Coast Path runs through the area for those who want to earn their evenings.

Pitches vary in character. The electric fields are spacious and clearly marked, well-sheltered by hedges. The non-electric pitches at the top of the hill are more exposed but pay off with the best sea views: bring storm pegs if you're arriving in any kind of wind. Some of the main field slopes, though earthen platforms have been cut to level a handful of spots. Shower blocks are split across the site, with the secondary block near the main field tending to have better pressure. The farm shop opens from 1 May, which is worth knowing if you're planning an early-season trip.

Before you book

  • The nearest pub is a 35-minute walk with a steep uphill return.
  • Farm shop and most on-site facilities open from 1 May; early-season visits will find less on offer.
  • Top-field sea-view pitches are exposed: storm pegs recommended in windier conditions.
A family-run coastal farm that earns its reputation through a rare combination: genuine sea views, proper beach access and enough on-site depth to justify a full week.
