Jurassic Airstreams Spa Glamping

Hartridge Springs sits in five acres of ancient woodland inside the Blackdown Hills AONB, a short walk from the Hartridge Buddhist Monastery and about 20 minutes from the Jurassic Coast. The accommodation is genuinely varied: vintage Airstream trailers with their chrome and curves intact, geodesic Uni Domes, and Emperor Bell tents fitted with wood burners, power packs, and everything you need for dinner and breakfast without leaving the pitch.

The spa side is properly done. A wood-fired sauna and hot tub sit within the trees, and guests have used both for the sort of post-walk recovery session that makes the whole trip feel earned. The host (the site has been owner-operated with real care, and appeared on the Channel 4 programme 4 in a Bed) goes out of the way: wood-fired pizzas on request, breakfast hampers of fresh fruit, bread, eggs, bacon, and loose-leaf tea are the kind of detail that lifts a glamping stay above the template.

The Blackdown Hills give you walking straight from the gate. Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast are half an hour or so by car for fossil hunting and boating. Dunkeswell Aerodrome is 15 minutes if you want something louder. The woodland setting means the site stays cool in summer and sheltered in autumn, and the showers have apparently been updated with some flair (reviews mention disco lighting with genuine affection). Adults travelling as a pair will get the most from this one, though families with young children have also had good visits.
