Foxglove Field (adults only)

Three solar-powered bell tents in a rewilded West Cornwall meadow, with views of St Michael's Mount and Carrie on hand to make the whole thing feel personal.

Foxglove Field is a small, owner-run eco-glamping site near Goldsithney in West Cornwall, adults-only and deliberately so. Carrie keeps three bell tents spaced well apart in a rewilded meadow, each looking out over Mount's Bay toward the unmistakable silhouette of St Michael's Mount. The off-grid setting is genuine: solar-powered, dark-skied, guinea fowl wandering the grass.

The facilities are better than you might expect for a site with this much field in it. There is a shared outdoor kitchen with electric hob, fridge, toaster, and proper glassware. Showers are warm and well kept. Carrie supplies fresh local milk and free-range eggs for breakfast and will brief you on where to eat and drink nearby, whether that is the Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe or the coast path across to Marazion. St Michael's Mount is a forty-minute countryside walk from the gate.

Evenings here settle quietly. The sky is dark enough to stargaze from the communal fire pit, blankets provided. Praa Sands and Piskies Cove are within reach on foot or by bus from the lane. Penzance is under ten minutes by car for any provisioning you forgot.

Before you book

  • No car means relying on local buses, which run roughly hourly and can run late; worth checking timetables before arrival.
  • Only three bell tents on site, so availability is limited and books up quickly in peak season.
One of Cornwall's most considered small glamping operations: a genuine off-grid meadow, a host who actually cares, and St Michael's Mount framed in your doorway.

Why it made the cut

  • Owner Carrie is present, generous with recommendations, and supplies local eggs and milk
  • Three well-spaced bell tents with a properly equipped outdoor kitchen and warm showers
