Gwithian Farm
A family-run Cornish farm campsite behind a 16th-century thatched farmhouse, ten minutes' walk from Gwithian Beach by Godrevy.
Gwithian Farm sits in the heart of Gwithian village, set in landscaped gardens behind a working farmhouse that dates to the 1600s. The Red River Inn is directly opposite, and Gwithian Beach, lifeguarded and voted best beach in the South West by The Times, is a ten-minute walk through the village and across the sand dunes.
The setting earns the place: this is Cornwall AONB coast, and you're on foot to three miles of Atlantic sand. The Towans beach in Hayle is an easy additional walk in the other direction, and the coastal path runs straight through. The Gwithian Academy of Surfing is on the doorstep for those who want to make use of what's out front.
On site, the facilities are clean and well-maintained. Tents and caravans share the landscaped pitches, and a coffee shack handles mornings. The on-site shop is well-stocked, the owners are accommodating about late arrivals, and a handful of resident ducks and goats give the place the farm character that the thatched farmhouse promises. Dogs are welcome throughout.
Before you book
- Toilet and shower block is at the site entrance, which can mean a long walk for pitches in the further fields.
