Cotswold Lakes Camping

Seven-pitch farm site on the edge of Cotswold Water Park, where the lakes, cycle routes and watersports centres are minutes away.

Field Farm sits right on the boundary of the Cotswold Water Park in Somerford Keynes, a village with its own pub and quiet lanes looping between the lakes. With only seven pitches across grass and hardstanding, it never fills a field with strangers: you get the working-farm context, panoramic views over shimmering water and surrounding countryside, and a base from which the whole Water Park network is essentially on foot.

The location does the heavy lifting. Lake 32 Outdoor Centre, South Cerney Outdoor and Cotswold Country Park are all within easy reach for paddleboarding, kayaking and open-water swimming, and the Source of the River Thames is a short ride away for anyone who wants to tick that one off. Cycle hire is available nearby through Discover Bikes, and the Cotswold Sculpture Park is worth an afternoon. Cirencester, the nearest proper town, is a straightforward drive.

On-site the offering is small and functional: showers, toilets, electric hookup, a communal fire area and BBQ. A taproom operates some evenings. Dogs are welcome on leads. The site opens from March and takes tents, campervans and tourers equally.

Before you book

  • On-site extras (bar, food vans, coffee) are not guaranteed on every night you stay: confirm current programming before booking if these matter to you.
  • Seven pitches are laid out compactly; if pitch separation is important, check availability and ask about spacing before arriving.
A genuinely well-placed base for the Cotswold Water Park with proper farm context and only seven pitches. The setting earns it; come for the lakes, not the on-site extras.
