Briarfields Camp Site

Briarfields sits on the Gloucester Road corridor, with the bus stop for both Cheltenham and Gloucester directly outside the entrance. That might sound prosaic, but it's the thing that makes the site work: arrive in your caravan or motorhome, unhitch, and spend the next two days walking the Regency crescents or the cathedral precinct without moving the van once.

The site is adults-only (16+) and runs with the quiet confidence that comes from knowing exactly who it's for. Pitches are fully serviced with electric hookup, water and drainage, and the facilities block is heated, clean to a high standard, and kept that way round the clock. A handful of glamping pods sit among the lush green surroundings, each with a deck looking out over the grass.

Dorothy's dog field is a well-noted bonus: an off-lead area on site so your dog gets a proper run before the day starts. Off-road walking and cycling routes leave directly from the gate for those who want to stretch their legs without getting back in the car. Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are within easy reach for Cotswolds day-trips, and Tewkesbury Abbey is a short drive north.
