Coast and Castles sits on a former RAF admin site just outside Boulmer, a working fishing village on the north Northumberland coast. The 8-acre site runs on solar power and carries a proper coastal brief: St Oswald's Way runs past, Dunstanburgh Castle is within walking reach, and the cluster of beaches at Longhoughton, Seaton Point, and Alnmouth stretches up and down the shore.

It's a family site that earns it. There's a small playground, bell tent glamping alongside standard tent and motorhome pitches, and the facilities are consistently kept clean.
