Celtic Camping

A working Pembrokeshire farm with Irish Sea views, direct Coastal Path access, and a small pebbly cove a five-minute walk away.

Celtic Camping sits on Pwll Caerog Farm in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, about four miles from St Davids. The pitches face west across 250 acres of open farmland to the Irish Sea, and on clear evenings the sunset over the water is the kind of thing that makes you stay an extra night. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path runs directly through the site, and Aber Pwll beach is on the edge of the campsite itself.

The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddi is 1.5 miles away, and the coastal walk to Porthgain is one of the finest on this stretch of the north Pembrokeshire coast. St Davids Cathedral, the smallest city in Britain, is a short drive for supplies and an afternoon wander. The site takes tents, caravans, and motorhomes; the farmhouse field pitches are flatter and worth paying a little extra for. Fire pits are available to hire, with logs and kindling sold on site.

Facilities are functional and kept clean: toilets, showers, and a small cafeteria that does the job on a rainy day. There is also a basic shop at reception for essentials. The operation is family-run and the staff are active on site. Dogs are welcome throughout.

Before you book

  • Access is via a single-track road.
  • Bank holiday weekends get busy and facilities can queue; the farmhouse field pitches are a significant walk from the shower block.
One of the more honest coastal campsite propositions in Pembrokeshire: real farm, real coast, direct Coastal Path access, and a beach you can walk to barefoot.

Why it made the cut

  • Direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the site
  • Aber Pwll beach is on the edge of the campsite
  • Irish Sea sunset views from the pitches
  • Family-run farm operation with no holiday-park markers
