Little Hollows
Two eco-built cabins in a 16th-century orchard at the foot of Midsummer Hill, with direct walking access to ten miles of Malvern Hills ridge.
Little Hollows sits at the foot of Midsummer Hill in the Malvern Hills AONB, close to Ledbury, and it earns its reputation through specificity: two bespoke cabins built from renewable and recycled materials, set in an old orchard beside a stream, with ancient woodland views and the hills beginning where the garden ends. From the door you can walk straight onto the ridge on foot or bicycle, no car needed.
The footpath access is the real draw. Herefordshire Beacon at British Camp is forty-five minutes walk away; Worcester Beacon, less than two hours for the more adventurous. Do the ten-mile end-to-end on a clear day and you'll see five counties, with the Black Hills, May Hill, and Clee Hill all visible on the horizon. Castlemorton Common is a near-immediate neighbour. It's the kind of place that gives walking purpose without requiring a drive to find the trailhead.
The site is deliberately small: two cabins, self-catering, an orchard to sit in at night. The scale is a feature. Stargazing from the orchard is a regular thing here. For an evening off-site, Ledbury's poetry festival and Malvern theatre and cinema are both reachable, and Eastnor Castle is nearby. Cheltenham is only a short drive for those who need a city fix.
“A small, carefully made glamping retreat with outstanding walking access straight from the door into the Malvern Hills, the right choice for couples or solos who want the hills, not just a view of them.”
