Fox Camping sits in open Cornish countryside near Warbstow, with the top field pitches earning their reputation for wide views and clear-skied mornings. Victoria runs the site with the kind of care that only makes sense if you actually love what you're doing: facilities are housed in a converted barn (spotless, with a good woody smell), and there's a covered communal shelter for classic British weather. Pitches are spacious enough that a full house doesn't feel like a crowd.

On site, Victoria bakes pizzas to order on summer evenings, with proper vegan options, and keeps a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks for when you can't face the drive. Games, body boards, and colouring are on hand, less family-holiday-park, more thoughtful-host. Fire pits are available, and on a clear evening the star-gazing from the top field is the reason this patch of North Cornwall earns its reputation for dark skies.

Widemouth Bay is around 18 minutes by car, with other Cornish beaches easily reached from here as a base. Quiet hours after 9:30pm keep the evenings as still as the setting deserves.
