It is Buxton country, 10 minutes' drive from the spa town, with Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Castleton all within reach for those who want a base as much as a retreat.

The accommodation is shepherd's huts and yurts, each with a wood burner lit before you arrive in colder months. The shared facilities are properly done: a farmhouse kitchen fitted out to cover everything, bathrooms with a freestanding roll-top bath, and outdoor fire pits and BBQs for evenings under the Peak District sky. Host Tiffany runs the welcome side with care, leaving hampers and breakfast baskets and accommodating personal touches for occasions.
