North Norfolk Camping & Glamping

Lakeside woodland camping in the Norfolk AONB, where swans drift past your pitch and sunsets happen over the water.

Holt Hollow sits in a quiet fold of the North Norfolk AONB on the edge of Holt, a town small enough to walk for supplies but characterful enough to justify the trip. The site occupies a woodland clearing around a small lake, which guests consistently single out: swans at dusk, fire pits reflecting on the water, and the kind of darkness that makes stargazing feel like an event.

Pitches spread through the trees, with bell tents, shepherd huts, and yurts alongside touring and tent spots. Shepherd huts come with a fridge, toilet, shower, and a small inside stove, plus a BBQ and fireplace outside. The hosts, Kevin and Nigel, are hands-on and reachable. Mobile signal is essentially absent, which functions as either a caveat or a selling point depending on what you came for.

The North Norfolk Coast Path and Peddars Way are within easy reach for walking, Holt itself is a few minutes down the road, and Sheringham is a reasonable drive for an evening out. The Pigs pub is close by. At 8km from the coast, this is a countryside-and-woodland camp rather than a beach camp, but the AONB setting gives it proper credentials.

Before you book

  • No mobile signal on site.
