Manor Farm
A sprawling working farm above Cromer on the North Norfolk coast, where generous rolling fields open onto sea views and a ten minute walk drops you into the old seaside town
Everything about Manor Farm feels big, from the winding drive through the farm to reach the campsite, to the expansive rolling fields and then the big blue expanse of sea on the horizon. Even the number of toilet blocks is generous with one seemingly on every corner, and they are kept properly clean and modern too. Happily the distance to Cromer is probably the only small thing about Manor Farm and a ten minute walk will find you in the lovely old seaside town. Once you're stuffed with the famous local crab and waddled back to the site there isn't much to do but kick back and enjoy the sunset.
Happily even at peak times the size of the fields means it never feels too busy and if you've managed to nab one of the higher pitches, up on Byworth most of them come with sea views, it doesn't get more relaxing. Manor Farm is a proper working farm and the unpretentious feel extends to the campsite, attracting all types of campers the site is simple and well done. It is a genuinely good spot to bring the dog, with the coastline right there for a morning walk down to the beach.
With the sea on the doorstep most of your days will likely be spent lazing on the beach but the site is a great base for exploring the North Norfolk coast. The North Norfolk Coastal path passes right by the site and the National Trust's Felbrigg Hall and Gardens is a 5 minute drive. There's an alternative beach at East Runton a 20 minute walk away, The Norfolk Broads and Norwich are easily reached via car or rail from Cromer, there's even a steam train to Georgian Holt via Sheringham.
