Little Wold Away is John's passion project in the Everthorpe woodlands near Brough: three well-insulated pods (Bunny, Badger, and Wigwam) plus a large safari lodge, each on its own private plot so you never feel like you're at a busy site. The pods run underfloor heating, which makes them genuinely comfortable year-round; the safari lodge is canvas-sided and best suited to warmer months or guests happy to layer up.

Every unit gets its own hot tub, freshly drained and refilled between each stay, with the waste water going to the trees. John is the kind of host who has your hot tub ready before you arrive, even on a same-day booking. He points you to the best local pubs, leaves welcome treats, and knows the surrounding wildlife well enough to tell you where the badgers come out. Reviewers mention falling asleep to owls and waking to rabbits on the lawn.

For days out, the Zoom Cafe is a ten-minute walk along a safe path, various villages and countryside are within easy reach on foot or by car, and the coast is roughly an hour's drive. Hull's city centre is 15-25 minutes away if you need a supermarket run. The site is quiet by design: with only four units it rarely feels full even when it is, and the safari lodge sits furthest from the others for additional privacy.
