Coxons Farm Luxury Glamping Pods

A working sheep and beef farm in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with well-appointed pods, views of Cracoe Fell, and an owner who texts you about the local agricultural show.

Coxons Farm sits in the Wharfedale valley near Cracoe village, with Cracoe Fell rising to the east and the moorland of Swindon Hill stretching northwest. The pods face the open dales landscape and the dark skies overhead are reason enough to stay a second night.

Tom and Aimee run this as a family operation on a working sheep and beef farm. The pods are spacious, spotlessly maintained, and stocked with a welcome pack. Past guests note the kitchen is properly equipped and the bed is a real one. Eggs from the farm gate add a practical touch. The personal host presence here is the differentiator: a birthday gesture in the pod, a text recommending the Gargrave show, a host with actual recommendations.

Walking from the door is the Cracoe war memorial and Rylstone Cross circular, and the Swindon Quarry to Linton route. Malham Cove, Grassington, Skipton, and Brimham Rocks are all within easy driving distance. The Devonshire Arms and the Fountaine pub are both close for dinner. Lambing season runs March through May and the farm actively invites guests into that experience.

Before you book

  • Lambing season (March to May) books up well in advance, reserve early for that period.
One of the few glamping pod operations where the host presence lifts the experience above the pod itself. The Yorkshire Dales setting does the heavy lifting; Tom and Aimee make sure you know what to do with it.

Why it made the cut

  • Consistent host engagement: personalised gestures, local recommendations, on-call presence
