Etherley Farm

Third-generation Surrey Hills farm where the camping sits inside a working landscape: free-range poultry, reinstated orchards, and trail access from the gate.

Etherley Farm has been farmed by the same family for three generations, and it shows. The pitches sit on working farmland in the Surrey Hills AONB, surrounded by the results of an active conservation programme: hedgerows, orchards, and woodland that were removed and are now back. The farm shop sells free-range poultry, beef, and lamb raised on the land around you.

Two long-distance paths leave from the doorstep: the Greensand Way and the Leith Hill Greenway. Leith Hill itself, the highest point in South East England, is within striking distance, which gives this corner of the Surrey Hills more vertical drama than its county reputation suggests. The setting earns the site its place here.

Pitches accommodate both tents and caravans, which keeps the camp accessible without tipping into holiday-park territory. The farm's character and conservation credentials are the draw, not the facilities list.

A real working farm in Surrey Hills AONB that takes camping seriously, not as a sideline. The trail access and the farm shop selling on-site produce make it a proper destination, not just a stopover.
