Cotswold View sits a mile outside Charlbury in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, 54 acres of rolling ground that overlooks Wychwood Forest and the Evenlode Valley. Three named long-distance routes cross or border the site: the Oxfordshire Way, the Wychwood Way, and the European walking route E2, so you can be properly on a trail within minutes of leaving your pitch.

The mix of pitches is genuinely wide: hardstanding for caravans and motorhomes, grass for tents, and camping pods (including a unit called the Piggery) for those who want a roof. The site feels managed with a light hand from a facilities standpoint: a number plate scanner handles the gate, the pitches are large and well-spaced, and an on-site shop carries enough to cover essentials. The cafe, bakery, and restaurant open to day visitors too, which explains the garden seating and the quality of the pastries.

Dogs have their own walking area and the forest trails are dog-friendly throughout. The playground suits younger children; there is also a tennis court and disc golf on site. Charlbury's pubs and shops are a 20-minute walk or a 3-minute drive, and the train station makes this an unusually accessible base if you want to spend a day in Oxford without moving the car. Nearby draws include Diddly Squat Farm, Blenheim Palace, and Daylesford Organic.
