Oxford Riverside Glamping sits on the River Thames at Swinford, a short bus ride from Oxford and a similar distance in the other direction to Witney. The site is deliberately small, around ten pitches, each positioned far enough apart for genuine privacy. Owner-present and well-considered, this is the kind of operation where the logs are already stacked and the BBQ is laid ready.

What sets it apart is the quality of the kit without any pretension: showers that reviewers describe in terms usually reserved for spa days, comfortable beds inside properly equipped bell tents, and shared fridges so the food stays cold.
