Haddon Grove Farm sits inside the Peak District National Park near Bakewell, on a working dairy farm that has been opening its fields to campers for years. The headline asset is direct private access to Lathkill Dale, one of the finest limestone dales in England, walkable from your tent with no car required. Views across the surrounding countryside and valley come with the territory.

With 140 pitches across five well-drained fields the site is generous in scale, but the multi-field layout keeps things from feeling like a holiday park. Twenty hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up suit caravans and motorhomes well, and two villages with good pubs sit within walking distance in either direction. On-site there is a shop stocked with the essentials, a playground, fire pits for hire, and a pizza and gyros van operating on weekend evenings that removes the need to pack up and drive out for dinner.

The atmosphere is informal and sociable. Groups of families spread across a field, kids roam, the pace is unhurried. The owner is hands-on and easy to deal with. Chatsworth is a short drive for a day off-site, and Bakewell is close for a proper market-town morning. It is the kind of campsite where the location does most of the work and the facilities are solid enough to get out of the way.
