Bryn Ifan Camping

Nine wildflower-meadow pitches on a working sheep farm at the edge of Snowdonia, with views stretching from Snowdon to the Menai Straits.

Bryn Ifan sits on elevated ground where Snowdonia meets the Llŷn Peninsula, and the position is the whole point. From your pitch in the wildflower meadow, the view takes in the Snowdon range behind you and the sea ahead. Sunsets over the Menai Straits are visible from the grass, and on clear nights the dark skies here are serious.

Hosts Callie and Gwynn run a tight, generous ship. The nine pitches are well-spaced among long grass and wildflowers so each feels private, and the car-free layout keeps the meadow quiet (parking stays in the farmyard). A barn doubles as wet-weather shelter, communal kitchen and games room: table tennis, air hockey, table football, shared kettle and fridge. It is the kind of space that turns a rainy afternoon into a good memory rather than a miserable one.

Facilities are simple and well-kept. Showers and toilets are clean; firepits and logs are available for a charge. The coast is a ten-minute drive, and the site sits close enough to Snowdonia's hiking trails and the clifftop and beach walks of the Llŷn Peninsula to fill a week without ever repeating yourself. Buses serve the area, so arrival without a car is genuinely possible.
