Pattacott Farm Retreats
A quiet North Cornwall working farm where cows graze next to your pitch, shepherd's huts come with hot tubs, and Crackington Haven is the closest beach.
Pattacott Farm sits in the rolling hills of North Cornwall, inside the Cornwall AONB, with views across farmland that change hour by hour depending on the light. Tent pitches share the land with cattle, which gives the place an unhurried agricultural rhythm that most camping sites only gesture at. The shepherd's huts are a step up: proper inside kitchens, hot tubs, fire pits, and a breakfast-drop service with freshly baked bread.
The facilities are minimal and deliberately so: a clean toilet and shower block for the camping field, plus two compost toilets in the field itself. Lighting is limited to the toilet block, so bring a head torch after dark. It is the kind of place that works best if you arrive prepared and don't expect a plug-in holiday park experience.
Crackington Haven is the closest beach for rockpooling and a look at the dramatic North Cornwall cliffs. Widemouth Bay is not much further and better for swimming. Bude, with its cafes, surf shops, and sandy beaches, is a 20-minute drive. Bodmin Moor is 10 minutes in the other direction, and Boscastle's National Trust harbour is worth the detour.
Before you book

“A proper working farm in North Cornwall AONB territory, honest about what it is: quiet, views-led, with shepherd's huts that earn their keep through hot tubs and fresh breakfast deliveries.”
