Luna Domes

Six geodesic domes in the High Weald AONB, each with a hot tub and a southward view across open Kent countryside.

Luna Domes sits in the High Weald AONB outside Chiddingstone, a few miles from Edenbridge, with six individually named geodesic domes arrayed across a gently sloping field. Each dome takes its name from a nearby National Trust landmark: Knole, Scotney, Chartwell, Wakehurst. The setting does the heavy lifting: open Kent countryside rolling south, quiet enough that the hot tub feels like the only sound.

This is premium glamping with no ambiguity about what it is. The domes come well equipped, with proper beds, en-suite shower, stargazing skylight, log fire, BBQ, and a private hot tub outside. Bathrobes, welcome biscuits, tea and coffee are laid on. It reads more hotel than campsite, and it's priced accordingly. The six-unit scale keeps it from feeling like a pod park: there's space between the domes, and the rural setting carries the experience rather than the infrastructure.

Dogs are welcome. Families with younger children are catered for. Couples account for most of the bookings and the domes suit them best: a mini-moon or weekend away where the only plan is the hot tub and a walk through the Weald. The High Weald AONB puts excellent walking on the doorstep, and the Chartwell, Scotney, and Knole estates are all within easy reach for a day out.

Before you book

  • Poorly insulated in cold weather: the domes can struggle to hold temperature in winter, so off-season visits need realistic expectations.
A well-run, honestly premium glamping operation in genuine AONB countryside: not camping in any traditional sense, but the setting and the hot tub earn the price for the right kind of weekend.
