Low Farm Touring Park
A quietly immaculate family-run park in South Lincolnshire's flat castle country, with a cafe, bowtop wagons, and pitches spaced far enough apart to actually breathe.
Low Farm sits in the grounds of an 18th-century farmhouse at the edge of Folkingham, a conservation village in South Lincolnshire's wide, sky-heavy countryside. Thirty-six pitches spread across grass and hardstanding, none of them cramped together: the reviews are consistent that the spacing here is generous in a way you notice. Owner Michelle runs the site with the kind of hands-on care that shows in the details.
The site has a small cafe on site serving homemade cakes and hot drinks, which nudges this beyond your standard touring stopover. A few times a year live music lands on bank holiday weekends, which adds to the sense that the place has its own modest social life. The pub in Folkingham (the New Inn) is a few minutes on foot, the village shop the same. Glamping is available in traditional bowtop wagons for those who want something between a tent and a cottage.
Castle country surrounds the site in every direction: Grimsthorpe Castle and Belton House are within easy range, Burghley House and Tattershall Castle a straightforward drive. Lincoln Cathedral is on the horizon for a half-day out. South Lincolnshire doesn't draw crowds the way the Lakes or the Peaks do, which means the sites that are here tend to be quieter, unhurried, and genuinely affordable. Low Farm is that kind of place. The facility block is kept spotlessly clean; pitches suit both short tourers and families spending a week using the area as a base.
