Bain View Glamping
A small, owner-run glamping site on the Lincolnshire Wolds fringe, where shepherd huts overlook a vineyard and the night skies are properly dark.
Bain View sits on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, run by Lexi and Charles with the kind of attention that shows in small details: dog bowls left out for arriving guests, ice cube trays in the freezer, extra firewood stacked by the door. There are just a handful of units, which keeps the site genuinely private and quiet. The vineyard setting gives the shepherd huts and bell tents something most Lincolnshire sites can't claim: views that have actual character.
The units are well-appointed and consistently described as immaculate. The Tanganyika Hut sleeps a family of four comfortably; the Vineyard Shepherd's Hut is the couples' choice, with a log-burning stove and a private deck facing the vines. Fire pits come with every pitch. After dark, the skies clear well here, well away from city light pollution, and stars are a genuine feature of the experience.
Horncastle is five minutes by car, a market town with antique shops, cafés, and canal-side walks that carry you deeper into the Wolds. Lincoln Cathedral and Castle are a 30-minute drive west; Mablethorpe and Skegness beaches are roughly the same distance east. The Viking Way long-distance trail is walkable from the site. Dogs are welcome and the vineyard grounds are enclosed.
Before you book
