Adults-only lakeside glamping in rural Cheshire, a five-minute walk from a train to Chester and a mile from Delamere Forest.

Nine bell tents arranged around private fishing lakes in the Cheshire countryside, with Mouldsworth station a five-minute walk away and Delamere Forest a mile up the road. Lloyds Meadow is the kind of spot that earns its reputation not through spectacle but through detail: locally sourced breakfast left at your tent door each morning, a cooking pack waiting inside, rugs on the floor, a genuinely comfortable bed.

The site is run by Sarah and Danny, whose attentiveness comes through consistently. Guests are welcomed properly, not just checked in. The facilities block is spotlessly maintained. You can take the goats for a walk, watch kingfishers and other wildlife around the well-stocked lake, or simply do very little with a fire going. Adults only (18+), with no dogs, which keeps things as quiet as the policy promises.

Chester is around ten minutes by train from Mouldsworth, so a dinner out or a day at the races is easy without committing to a car journey. Delamere Forest and the Sandstone Trail are on the doorstep for anyone who wants to earn the evening fire. Open April to September.
