Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park

Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park occupies 16 acres of woodland and meadow in the folds of the Holme Valley, just outside Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. The Peak District begins immediately beyond the valley rim, and the River Holme threads through the lower reaches of the site, drawing ducks and the kind of wildlife that keeps children occupied for hours. Holmfirth is a good walk from the site, either along the road or the more ambitious route that follows the River Holme through woodland and past two cricket clubs. Hagg Wood is accessible on foot, and the Holme Valley walking routes fan out from the valley bottom. Pitch sizes are generous, and the overall tempo is calm: music must be kept low and off by 9pm, which keeps the evenings genuinely quiet.
