Firs Glamping

Five bell tents in the Suffolk countryside 4 miles from Southwold, quietly run by Tom and Sophie with real attention to the detail.

Firs Glamping is five bell tents on grass in Uggeshall, a small village in unspoilt Suffolk countryside between Southwold and the RSPB Minsmere reserve. The tents look out over rolling fields, and that view of cows and open sky is genuinely the point of being here.

Tom and Sophie run it as a small, considered setup. Each tent is well kitted-out with comfortable beds and its own BBQ and fire pit, and the communal facilities cover showers, a kitchenette, and basic cooking. Things are a little rustic in the way that feels intentional rather than neglected. Solar power keeps things running and has never been a problem for guests.

Being 4 miles from Southwold means the coast, the beach and the town's independent shops and restaurants are within easy reach. RSPB Minsmere is close for a proper morning of birdwatching, and the area has good cycling to local pubs. The Latitude festival at nearby Henham Park gives the site a useful anchor for summer bookers. No dogs.

A carefully run five-tent glamping site with field views and Southwold on the doorstep. Small enough that it still feels like someone's passion project, not a business.
