Edingley Campsite
Adults-only conservation farm on an elevated Nottinghamshire ridge, with panoramic views stretching to Lincoln Cathedral and Belvoir Castle on a clear day.
New Hall Farm sits 100 metres above the Nottinghamshire plain on the edge of Edingley village, 3 miles from Southwell. The views are the headline: on a clear day you can pick out Lincoln Cathedral to the north-east and Belvoir Castle to the south, across open farmland that rolls away in all directions. This is working-farm camping done quietly and without fuss.
Adults only, 25 pitches, and the owner Chris meets you on arrival, helps level your caravan, and hands you a local information sheet. Reviewers consistently mention how unhurried that arrival moment feels, and how spotless the facilities block is kept throughout the season. There is an adjacent dog-walking field with chairs for watching the sunset, and an honesty-box ice cream. Simple, considered, personal.
The pitch mix covers tents, caravans, motorhomes, and campervans, all with 16-amp electric hookup and a choice of hardstanding or grass. Laundry, pot-washing, and free WiFi are on site. Southwell's pubs and the Minster are a short drive; The Old Reindeer is a 20-minute walk. Newark-on-Trent with its castle and National Civil War Centre is 10 miles, Sherwood Forest Country Park 12 miles.
