Dolau Afon sits beside the Ystwyth river in a fold of the Cambrian Mountains that locals have long called Little Switzerland. The valley earns the name: birdsong at dawn, a glowing sunrise climbing the hillside, and at night a sky so dark that the Milky Way needs no effort to find. The campsite holds International Dark Sky Area designation, and on a clear night it delivers.

Every pitch comes with its own fire pit, and the patio pitches add a picnic bench and hammock. The river runs along the bottom of the field with a natural bathing spot for swimming and paddling.
