Coombe View Farm
A working farm above Branscombe with rolling-hill views and the Jurassic Coast a mile down the lane.
Coombe View Farm sits high above Branscombe village in East Devon, with the Jurassic Coast and its ancient pebble beach a mile away on foot. The valley rolls away below the pitches, and on clear days the view carries all the way to the sea. It is the kind of farm that still functions as a farm: sheep in the fields, a genuine working context, and an owner in Trevor who does the rounds most evenings.
The site takes tents, tourers, and motorhomes on open grass and has the basics well covered: clean showers and toilets, electric hookups, a communal fire, and wifi in parts of the site. Nothing is over-engineered, and that is the point. Campers here are here for Branscombe, not the facilities block. The South West Coast Path passes nearby, and the walk down to the village's pub, The Masons Arms, is a steep but rewarding one.
Dogs are welcome. The approach suits those who want a quiet, unhurried base rather than a managed entertainment experience. Low season in particular earns the site its character: bluebell-filled hedgerows, near-empty fields, and a pace that is hard to find on the Jurassic Coast in summer.
