Cefn Cae Camping Site

A quietly run 300-acre Welsh-speaking farm in Snowdonia's Conwy Valley, where mountain views, immaculate facilities, and an honesty shop make it hard to leave after one night.

Cefn Cae sits on a 300-acre working farm in Rowen village, 3 miles from Conwy's medieval walls and inside the boundary of Snowdonia National Park. The valley setting gives you mountain views on all sides, and over ten walking routes start directly from the site, so you can be on a hill path within minutes of unzipping the tent.

Two fields take a mix of tents, touring caravans, and motorhomes, with grass pitches that drain well and good spacing between neighbours. The facilities block is spotless: showers, toilets, laundry, and an honesty dresser stocked with provisions and ice-pack freezing for food boxes. The owning family greet you at the gate and are unhurried about it. Quiet hours run strictly from 11pm to 7am.

The Ty Gwyn village pub is 200 yards down the lane, Conwy Water Gardens and coarse fishing are half a mile away, and Conwy town itself is a short drive for anything larger. For families wanting bigger days out, Adventure Park Snowdonia, Zip World, and Bounce Below are all within reach, as are the coastal towns of Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.

Before you book

  • Some of the lanes approaching Rowen are narrow; read reviews for turning-point advice before arriving with a large van.
  • Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead throughout.
A well-run, well-loved farm site in Snowdonia that earns its reputation through owner care and an outstanding valley setting. One of the most honest-value bases in North Wales.
