For long-distance walkers, that proximity is the whole point: arrive by train on either the Oban or Fort William line, pitch up, use the drying room, and leave for the next section refreshed. For everyone else, Tyndrum is the junction between the Highlands and the west coast, and this small woodland site is the right kind of base.

The pitches are laid out among trees on a quiet lane off the main road, well away from the A82 rumble. Tent pitches, motorhome hardstandings, glamping pods, and cabins share the same compact woodland clearing. Reviewers consistently mention the pitch privacy and the care taken by the family running it. The shared kitchen, covered cooking area, drying room, and free warm showers make it a serious choice for walkers doing multi-day routes rather than just a roadside stopover.

Tyndrum village is a short walk from the site, with food and supplies available at the restaurants and small shops without needing a car.
