Bolberry House Farm Camping

A quietly immaculate farm site in the South Devon AONB, run by sisters who actually know their patch and will tell you about it.

Bolberry House Farm sits in the South Hams between Hope Cove and Salcombe, in the thick of the South Devon AONB. The pitches look west down a valley towards the sea, and on clear evenings the sunsets over Hope Cove are the kind that hold a field of campers quiet. The South West Coast Path is reachable directly from the site, with a longer coastal route to Hope Cove village and a shorter cross-field option when you want something quicker.

Sisters Fiona and Elaine run the place with the kind of attentiveness that shows up in small ways: maps of local walks, restaurant recommendations, a herb garden beside the shop to take from freely, a lift back along the lane when they spot you walking. The toilet and shower block is kept to a standard that guests mention unprompted, every time. This is a site where maintenance is a point of pride rather than an afterthought.

Dogs are actively welcomed. There is a dedicated dog walk on site, a dog wash station for post-beach returns, and poo bags and bins throughout. Bantham sands and the South Devon coastal path make it excellent territory for a dog holiday. Pitches are spacious and grass, suitable for tents and touring caravans or campervans alike.

Before you book

  • No campfires or open flames on site.
One of those farm sites that earns its reputation through owner care rather than infrastructure: Fiona and Elaine run Bolberry House as though every guest is a returning friend, and the setting in the South Devon AONB does the rest.
