Owley Woods sits in a wooded hillside above Cheddar, Somerset, and from the site you can walk to Cheddar Gorge on a footpath in 15 minutes. The Gorge Walk is on the doorstep. Cheddar Caves, the village tea rooms and pubs are the same short distance on foot, or a five-minute drive. Wells and Glastonbury are both a short drive away for a longer day out.

There are five bell tents only, which the owners call Owley Belles. Each comes with a king-size bed, its own fire pit, and a set of thoughtfully chosen details that lift this above generic glamping. The woodland behind the site is active: guests regularly spot badgers, bats, deer, and rabbits, and there is a dedicated bat-watching seat and a sunset seat set into the grounds. Paula and Matt are present and genuinely engaged, sharing local knowledge and giving the site the feel of staying somewhere a real person cares about.
