Cheesewring Farm Campsite

A working Bodmin Moor farm where the Cheesewring stones are on your doorstep and the moor stretches out in every direction.

Cheesewring Farm sits on the open flank of Bodmin Moor within the Cornwall AONB, with Stowe's Hill rising behind you and views across the Lynher and Tamar valleys in front. You can walk straight off the farm onto open access land: the Cheesewring rocks and the flooded quarry beyond them are a short walk from your pitch, and the moor rolls away from there in all directions.

The farm takes tents, caravans, and motorhomes on well-spaced pitches. John, the host, has a deep knowledge of the area and is happy to share it. The site keeps itself to a quiet, unfussy standard: showers, a utility room with a kitchenette, fridge, freezer, and a honesty-box washing machine. EHU is available at around £24 a night. On clear nights, the lack of light pollution here means the Milky Way puts on a proper show.

There is an enclosed field on site for dogs, and guests report the farm is actively welcoming to them. As a working farm, dogs on leads around the farm yard is the expected courtesy. Golitha Falls, Carnglaze Caverns, and the Eden Project are all within reach for days off-moor, and both the north and south coasts are an easy drive.

One of the few places on Bodmin Moor where you camp genuinely on the moor, not near it. The host, the setting, and the silence earn this site its reputation.
